Mike Dukakis had the same lead at this point during his bid for President. And that’s when polls were more accurate. Trump supporters don’t always admit to people, even pollsters, who they’re supporting. This race is neck and neck.

Atticus: Yup – your neck , my neck, everyone’s neck is at risk. Even the “stupids” seem to be waking up a bit now that it is biting them on the ass here in the South. Lot of masks these days. Fear is a great leveler. Death levels best of all.

    Doesn’t mean a thing until November 3.

May the gap grow ever larger – so that even Tiny will have to admit that he lost when the vote is counted. His actions seem to reflect a certain desperation now.

Like the side mirror on the car door says . . . “the object behind you is closer than it appears”. Same holds true in electoral distancing.

Don’t get complacent. VOTE. It may be your last chance.

Trumpers claim that all polls are bogus, due to Hillary in 2016, EXCEPT any polls that favor Trump… the question in November will be whether they will accept the results of the voting polls?

    Foot on the gas, folks.

This is far too important to be complacent.

The “scales” of our elections have some real dirty fingers altering the outcome. Racial gerrymandering, GOP interference and out right cheating and lying, judicial interference, foreign interference just to name a few we’ve seen before. Remember the GOP has fixers and dirty trixters at every level, and no honor.

You have to be suicidal to support murderously stupid Trump.

Yeah, no. Do we have to remember the polling debacle of 2016. Americans need to ignore the polls and focus on maximum voter turnout regardless to replace Trump.

No let up until after Election Day. Lots of time for dirty tricks and thousands of lies by Agent Orange and the band of cowards known collectively as the GOP.

Don’t forget the Orange Cheat is already making claims that the election is rigged against him at his rallies even though his minions have been doing everything in their power to prevent minorities from voting and cripple any voting by mail options from being put into effect up to and including destroying the United States Postal Service to ensure his victory. He’s already priming his cult for armed revolt if as predicted he looses and refuses to leave the Whitehouse.

guyjen2004: Between the 115 million dead from gun violence since 2007 and the over 120 million Covid deaths, I’m not sure there will be an election because apparently those two things have wiped out the entire population of the US.

me: You can keep saying that. [Referring plainly to "I’m questioning the wisdom of letting Joe gaffe away for 90 minutes with no life line. "] It’ll be a bigger surprise for you when it happens in a more real-world fashion, unlike the caricatured laff parade (115 million dead! HILARIOUS!) you favor.

guyjen2004: How can I be surprised when it becomes true that something that’s incorrect and never happened (115 million dead between 2007-2020) happens?

Are you now running away from your funny, funny crack about all those dead people? I’m shocked.

(But not so shocked that I’d put this in the same thread, where it’ll vanish if you pull your original comment.)

“Not to worry. As soon as Joe comes out of the basement and starts talking off prompter the numbers will change.”

So true Andy, the spread will grow to where every single person and party in the USA will agree on the total error made in America. The sycophants will claim his lies were sophisticated and clever but they figured it out all by themselves.

Let them think any stupid thing they want, we just want Trump gone and America back.

Good, but not good enough. What’s needed is a much bigger gap in the Electoral College.
