Why does he need to wear a mask on the rocket? It’s not like anyone is there with him.

My favorite line(s) from Dr. Strangelove, “Gentlemen, you can’t fight in here! This is the War Room.” – President Merkin Muffley (Peter Sellers), or, “You’re gonna have to answer to the Coca-Cola company.” – Col. “Bat” Guano (Keenan Wynn) to Group Captain Lionel Mandrake (Peter Sellers).

I didn’t realize a huge firework you can ride on was considered essential.

Slim Pickens did it with more panache, but thanks for the big fireworks show on this 244th Independence Day, Lio!

Blowing up 2020 at this point is a great idea, Lio, but I don’t think it’s really going to work. Some people are trying though.

Once again, I am reminded of all the great character actors we’ve lost; the ones who would make or break an otherwise run-of-the-mill flick. Unfortunately, I’m one of those who believe that it takes MORE than a 120 decibel soundtrack and “amazing” CGI to make a good movie – I actually expect a coherent plot, decent dialogue AND QUIET FROM THE PEANUT GALLERY in order for the “movie” to be enjoyable!

(Please note: there ARE exceptions to the above requirements: the “Rocky Horror Picture Show” being the most notable – but then, “Rocky” wasn’t really a movie; it was an experience and, like “the Blair Witch Project”, could never be successfully replicated.)
