    Psyche 101 … bragging indicates insecurity and self-doubt … but that’s just a pesky science thing … um … I think ….

Yes, but just try and get credit for it.

If you are reading, Teresa, there is a new book called “Women of the Moon” It is about women who have had craters on the moon named for them (only the deceased qualify). Short biographies of the women. Very few were given the credit they deserve for what they did.

The only thing that men do better than women is piss over a barbed wire fence.

    10 .

Gah! Okay. I’m awake. I’ll have to look around, but I don’t think I drifted far, if at all, from the reality where I started out. I’ll have to prepare a little better before trying this again. Maybe it would be a good idea to talk to Vi about it. She knows all this stuff. I really thought it would be easier, though. More obvious and intuitive. I’m not even sure exactly what I saw, much less how I could work through it to achieve an altered reality POV. At least I know I can get there, and get back. If we could do that with the Moon and the nearest planets, well, that’s not likely to happen in this century. At least not in the current reality POV. That’s reality, though. Can’t fix it. Can only avoid it and choose a different reality. Not really a better reality, but one more to my liking. I wonder what happens to the people who don’t believe in the reality I choose. Do they feel like I do now, that reality just isn’t right and ought to be better, while they are perfectly happy in their own better reality somewhere, but cut off from it? Yeah… I’m going to need a lot of study and contemplation before I go out there again. I think I’m developing a superstitious awe of Vi. And now Jolly Old Bob just scares the wind out of me. Suddenly, I’m reminded of Clarke’s third law, “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.” I guess that any sufficiently developed and systematic magic is just technology, too.

Hear, hear! No wiseguy comment from me today. Having worked in scientific labs in the past, I can attest to this. But women are woefully underrepresented, especially at the leadership levels, and that’s a shame because they’re every bit as competent.
