Hobbes wants to have something to eat for the long trip back.

Hobbes is about to become a chew toy.

Considering what Calvin makes himself for “lunch”, I doubt even a dinosaur of any kind would eat that stuff.

A real tiger would fight the allosaur.

I bet an Allosaurus in real life would prefer something bigger, like a Camptosaurus, over a tiny little boy and his tiger. I bet he was mainly following them out of curiosity.

He’s still smiling…

“You, yourself, are going to be a snack! Get in!”

Awesome that Calvin properly identified that ugly brute.

Leave him there. No, it’s way too early for him to even find a saber-tooth as a mate.

Poor Hobbes wouldn’t have even come if he knew the snacks were going to be used in such a frivolous way.

I love Hobbes’s calm oblivious demeanor next to Calvin’s terrified panic!

The correct number of foreclaws for an Allosaur.

In my nightmares, I just can’t find where I parked my car. Not sure I’d survive the night if I had one like this.

And I bet Calvin has left his camera behind in his panic.

Weren’t they vegetarians?

This really fits the classic sci-fi trope: the bomb, building, world, galaxy, universe (check one) is about to explode but the protagonists still have time for a trivial, poignant, emotional, comic-relief, extrapolatory (check one) conversation.
