Even using lighter fluid it would be pretty difficult to ignite a fire that way.

In the old days you had to search the ground for a flint rock. In more modern times you only need to find a discarded Bic lighter with a working flint wheel.

The only way he’ll start a fire without matches or a lighter would be by Spontaneous Human Combustion……We can only hope!:-)

Cheater! (I’d like to be able to work in, “Liar! Liar! Pants on fire!” But I can’t yet really accuse Young Master of lying).

Jarvis is so deft in nudging Sedgie towards the Right Thing….

It’s really not that hard to start a fire without matches or a lighter. There’s lots of ways and as a boy scout in my younger days we pretty much had to try them all…

Naptha is a light petroleum lubricant that would prevent friction and heat, and evaporate before igniting. His best chance is a piece of clear plastic sheet or baggie from the beach, full of water, makes a magnifying glass.

that method works MUCH better if you have a bow to spin the stick faster

I prefer my little fire starter kit with flint, steel striker and char cloth.
