first time out to sea in Navy, they walked around offering peanut butter and smoked oyster sandwiches to the ‘newbies’ … i was the only one who tried, and i still eat them…really, really good…surprisingly delicious…try one…has to be smoked oysters though
That sandwich sounds pretty close to Thai dipping sauce for “summer rolls”. You know, the kind with soft rice papers wrapped around shrimp and vegetables.

Nasty. Sub out the PB for Vietnamese lemongrass pork, and you’d have an ok banh-mi.

In Haiti they have spicy peanut butter. I was skeptical at first but love it. You can get a version on Amazon
