Indeed that is EXACTLY what he was saying in 2016. And if you buy into his crazy, you’ll get results that are EXACTLY as good as the ones he promised before. And believe me, he knows EXACTLY how to keep doing what he’s been doing.

Please join me in November to vote him out.

And do bear in mind that almost all the posters who are telling you how much bad Biden is are in fact working to elect Trump. Some of them may actually believe their conspiracy theories and metooism, but I believe that the ones who start each such meme are actually being paid.

This cartoon seems to be referencing, without name, hydroxychloroquine. While some anecdotal accounts suggest some positive accounts in some patients, more controlled scientific protocols have not confirmed this. The biggest problem is that, when Trump asks, “What do you have to lose?” he seems to discount the human lives of those he does not care about.

The reality is that, while hydroxychloroquine has proven efficacious for malaria, lupus and some forms of arthritis, it also carries significant risks from side effects, including sudden cardiac arrest (heart stoppage).

If an unproven drug had positive anecdotal results but carried little or no side effect concerns, it would be worth trying off label on a widespread basis. Because of the serious risks involved in using hydroxychloroquine, recommending widespread use without clinical confirmation puts human lives at risk. As if Trump cared.

    “The Magical Medicinal Cure”

There’s a medicine for malaria that will quell COVID-19 hysteria.

I tout its use in my briefing speeches, though its effectiveness is specious.

The name is a tongue-twister, just call it Trump’s Elixir.

    .

You give it to your poor sick Granny through a shot in the arm or fanny,

Or Gramps, or elderly Mom and Dad. The results might make you very glad.

What have they got to lose? They’ll live or take The Big Snooze.

    .

I know some say any reliance should be on firmly tested science.

So say Doctors Birx and Fauci (whose contradictions make me grouchy),

And WHO and the CDC — heck, just take the stuff and see!

    .

Some say that stock investments should make you suspect my attestments.

And still further, my rosy projections look to affect the Fall elections,

And that any liability won’t be my responsibility.

    .

That’s simply Fake News, don’t you see? Trust you lame-stream media, or me?

Have I ever steered you badly wrong? Don’t you love Trump’s Old Sweet Song?

So come on, step on up here, for The Great Dr. Trump’s Elixir.

Sorry for posting this here after I posted it on Matt Wuerker yesterday, but it seems apt………There are three categories of Trump’s misinformation: (1) Li’l Donnie is massively ignorant about almost all topics (the only thing he knows about medical science is that he likes to take certain drugs), and therefore spouts a great deal of nonsense. (2) Li’l Donnie is seriously mentally ill, and his delusions are only one of his many and varied symptoms, and these explain some of his misinformation. (3) Li’l Donnie is seriously mentally ill, and is a congenital, pathological, and compulsive liar. This explains most of his misinformation.[New and improved final comment: Trump is also a traitor in his spare time!]

Considering that the drug has been in use for 75 years, that we know its side effects inside and out, and, that physicians all over the world are reporting substantial success…..

Considering that the media was praising it right up to the moment Trump first mentioned it….

If it turns out to be the wonder drug that keeps critical patients alive long enough to recover a large groups of hypocrites are going to look really foolish. Again.

If not, well, the medication is essentially benign and almost certainly not harmful.

PLEASE be sure to ignore the rantings from Andylit. The media was NOT promoting the meds that Trump is now saying is a cure while he buys up stock in those meds. The hoarding of the medication IS causing harm because it is needed for malaria and lupus patients

The “wonder drug that keeps critical patients alive” was used on patients with mild or no symptoms, which means that it is just as likely that they recovered on their own.

Please be sure to read the link posted by Nan above so you can all see why I mercilessly tease and ridicule her.

She says “The “wonder drug that keeps critical patients alive” was used on patients with mild or no symptoms…” then posts a link to an ISAC memo that makes no such statement at all. She has pulled her comment from her nether regions. She does this so often that I make a point of following her links and then asking her over and over to supply the actual source of her incorrect statement(s). When she does bother to comply it usually turns out to be…ahem…anecdotal at best. Sometimes she even admits that she “assumed” it because #orangemanbad dictates that her assumption is correct.

Yes, physicians all over the world ARE reporting success. With patients ranging from critical to moderate, but in most cases, HOSPITALIZED. No one is wasting bed space on “… patients with mild or no symptoms…”

Yes, the information is considered “anecdotal”. Since it is not part of established clinical trial studies it has no value in a structured scientific assessment. However, the reported success of the treatment from multiple sources around the world has prompted multiple studies AND prompted governments to expand approval for use in hopes it will save lives.

And yes, the media was offering encouraging early stories about the medication results. Until Trump began pointing to those results. Now the media is ridiculing all mention of the drug, except when Governor Cuomo praises Trump for fast tracking the shipment of the drug to NY for live trials on critical patients.

Yes, there are a relative handful of people hoarding hydroxychloroquine. Apparently this is mostly DOCTORS writing scrips for themselves and for favored friends. Hospitals are also stockpiling the drug. So far there is no shortage and no harm to people with existing prescriptions. Nor will there be as production of the drug is ramping up for major production.

Absolutely. I strongly recommend reading Nan’s link AND the various links within it that lead to several small trials. Once you read the actual reports you will hopefully understand why a large segment of the world medical community are expressing cautious optimism and calling for extensive studies.

You can also read my response to Nan where I point out her cherry picking and reliance of anecdotal references.

Looks like Nan has deleted her post asking you to read her direct response to me. It contains another link previously not disclosed. Her post in that chain is followed by my responses which demonstrate that she cherry picked it and didn’t actually read the underlying reports.
