I’ve found most people do not have a clue what actual socialism is – that includes both those that think they support it or are against it (and please, resist the urge to copy & paste the Wikipedia page – it isn’t correct either).
Socialist, it’s not. Capitalism as envisioned by the Red States means that when push comes to shove they’d carve you up for dinner. You ain’t part of their <1% club. Socialism or socialized systems provide you with a safety net, not handouts. Get sick, need education, your kids or parents need help? Under their system you pay and pay and pay,and they don’t (who has better tax lawyers, you or them?). In a socialized system fairer taxes let everybody have that safety net and spread the cost so that you benefit and the nation benefits. No other country has costs for Healthcare and education that we do. Are those countries communist? Are we better off than they are if you’re in a pinch? That’s what it means.
They seem to equate socialism with the Soviet state, which is in fact a fascist state. Most democratic countries practice socialism to some degree. It’s the public safety net: unemployment insurance, public health, government sponsored pensions, even the armed forces. I’m sure to have missed something, but you get my drift, right?
Clinton? Interesting. Michael Moore floats the interesting notion that he could only get eected – by becoming a Republican. Certainly he was a centrist. Socialists don’ leave no budget surplus.

“Socialism” is to Republicans as “Communism” was to McCarthy—-a dog whistle.

So, if I’m not a republican I’m a socialist? That’s just crazy talk.

No es lo mismo llamar al Diablo que verlo venir (it is not the same calling the devil and seeing him come). Old puertorican proverb.

Socialism is when some people who want power take money from one group of people and use it to buy votes.

Poor widdle pachyderps…they KNOW trump’s going down in flames in November.
And I’d MUCH RATHER live under a “Democratic Socialist” then a Republican FASCIST like trump.ndblackirish97 about 4 years ago
That last frame should’ve been a DNC official ‘donkey/mule’. Their heads are exploding more than the GOP.
