Once again, a little under 10 years ago, a blog entry preceded this strip:

if you’re going to read comics online, Petey, better pray Alice doesn’t get crumbs and jelly smears on the keyboard

It’s a good thing I can read these online since my local papers don’t run this one.

It’s better to read them online, Petey. Here is where to tell the cartoonist he’s funny … or not!

    1. Weekday comics are in B&W in the paper and color online. 2. It’s easier to clip and email comics online. 3. Sometimes the comments online are funnier than the comics.

’S all right, jelly on touch screen is the modern equivalent of jelly on newsprint

I love this comic, and many others only available online, but nothing starts my day like reading the comics with my bowl of cereal and glass of juice (like I have for the past 60+ years).

My late father-in-law had a position for a while selling systems to newspapers that made the ink less smeary. How well did he do? Well, I think he was already dead when this first appeared. Further, deponent sayeth not.

Peter you uttered that last line with a look of disdain on your face…are we not purists here?

Alice is at that dangerously pesky stage.

Alas, Petey, nothing can be done . Little sisters get carte [blanche] jelly to annoy their hyper-picky OCD-ish big brothers.

Try reading comics online. You’ll like it!
