when looking at my local forecast here in Clark County, Washington, there’ll be two days in a row of rain whereas the rest of the week will be clear (though I’m hearing from the locals there’ll be snow some time in the future)

I’m not crazy about snow, but I certainly would not celebrate a forecast of freezing rain. Ice is much worse for walking & driving in than snow is.

Jon is a true optimist. No wonder that sweet little red lipped vet is still around him.

Snow crystals, snow grains, freezing drizzle, freezing hail, ice fog… where I live, we’ve had it all this year. Bring on summer!

I don’t know, Jon…wouldn’t freezing rain slick up the streets and make it hard to get around?

Would much rather have snow than freezing rain. Here in MO it’s been a lot more ice than snow. UGH!

Freezing rain is the worst thing you can have after 5 days of snow, now its going to be slush over compacted ice!

Storm Ciara and Dennis leave us in the UK terrible weather and flooding all last two weeks and now next week set to bring rain top us all. No snow except in N England and Scotland which will be arriving there soon.

    Gloomy for us Brits!

Freezing rain on top of snow is almost as much fun as snow following freezing rain. i.e., not much.

One time when the channel 4 weatherman went on like that the anchor ran over and started hitting him on the head with a blow-up sledgehammer.

We don’t have any snow right now where I live. Though, I do remember one time last February, my parents had to postpone their annual trip because of the snow, so they had to have their trip the following month.

We’ve had a true winter but a bad year for having enough snow for sledding and such but a bad winter for daylight. Today we have our 3rd consecutive day of sun and that’s a record for this winter.

well he’s not in philly. we usually get 1 decent snowfall of 10+ inches and 4-6 spats of 1-3 inches that melt in a few days. this year just one day of shovelable snow and that’s the lot we’ve had cold days and days with a lot of rain but they never lined up

New Jersey has had almost no snow this winter. It seems ungracious to complain when the temperature is occasionally below 30º but I do it anyway.

I’d love to hear that forecast here in Ohio. It’s near the end of February and it’s 55° outside. Unheard of.
