Our first flight landed late and I was less than 5 minutes late to the connecting flight which was still sitting at the gate. They would not let us on. I told them if I was Tom Cruise or some senator they’d make sure to hold the plane for me. We were stuck in Houston for 9 hours waiting for the next flight. I wrote a letter to the airlines while waiting. My girlfriend said that was a waste of time. I sent the letter to about 8-9 people in the higher echelons of the company. The airlines gave us a $300 credit for future flights. It can pay to let them know you are unhappy; especially when you write them.
Pay to scream my head off for a minute, once a month? I think it would let the steam out of the radiator so the temperature could balance out in my brain. I"ll settle for the occasional outburst in a car on the abandoned side road, open field under a moon…etc. I don’t really want anyone around me who would let me do that, any-who.
It took two days for my son and grand daughter to get out of Juneau Alaska to come visit us in Arizona. First day flights were canceled because of heavy fog and the next because of high winds. I’d rather have them delayed than dead. Lucky for them they just live five minutes from the airport so they could go home easily.
As long as you continue to say that you are not mad at her just the situation. It is ok to be angry, just make sure you focus it in the proper direction.
Airlines (and most corporations) insulate you from the person whose fault it really is. You have the choice of meekly bearing it or venting at someone who has no control over the situation. If you do the latter, you feel like a jerk, but, just maybe, your dissatisfaction will percolate up to someone with the power to fix things.

I always feel dreadful about myself after losing my temper with someone.
