With the Endless Gyratory, it’s a wonder anyone ever made it from Tackleford to Wendlefield.I have to wonder how long it takes him to do his cheekbones every morning.
Oh my gosh…I know you Brits love your roundabouts and all (and unlike we Americans who think we can do them too from time to time but don’t actually, you can do them right), but that’s just ridiculous. You’d get motion sick just trying to navigate that thing.
Austin, Texas has been adding a lot of these roundabouts to existing intersections lately. Nobody in Austin understands them, so they cause nothing but trouble.
Roundabouts, traffic circles and, in New England, rotaries, work well when they’re big enough, and traffic is light enough, to enter and exit without slowing down.
In Edmonton, the traffic got too heavy to merge safely and the city put in 4-way lights. And yes, there were protests. It’s a university town with not much to do besides curling in the winter, and with curling comes beer, and with buzzed university students come protests.

I wonder if this road system is based on a real one somewhere? Also, what the heck has that biblical verse got to do with traffic circles?

“They say” that roundabouts are safer than regular intersections.
One way they might be: Am I the only one who will sit down with a map, knowing where the roundabouts are, and plot a route – to avoid them!

You absolutely, positively, no-doubts-at-all shouldn’t tit about on 16 nested mini roundabouts.
And Amy is showing W A Y too much leg there.
Is this her way maybe of egging him on?

The person who designed that 16 round abouts must have been either sadistic or a crypto druid or both!
