It has been my experience that “world leaders” won’t do the right thing unless there’s something in it for them, personally. Used to be that the title was payment enough for many, but that’s never been true for all of them, and we seem to have a crop today, many of whom are worse than usual… definitely including The Dotard.
This is the critical problem when you call some one a “Leader” because they have a lofty political/business title. Leadership is NOT a requisite to be a Head of State, or Head of Corporate Empire.
It will take a cooperative effort by all nations to combat an issue as complex as this. In other words, the world’s goose is cooked. Few care about the world as a whole, just their little piece of it.
It’s clear that in this instance, guyjen (above^) has taken his talking points directly from Fox and Friends. guyjen, you do know that Fox had to apologize for their attempts at sliming Greta Thunberg, don’t you? And, funny thing, it’s the data from science that has the kids worried. Imagine, they’re worried about facts! How immature of them! /s
BTW, Planet Venus may have been habitable for billions of years, says Nasa . In the 1980s, Nasa’s Pioneer Venus mission found hints that the planet once had a shallow ocean, but because it receives far more sunlight than Earth, scientists believed it had quickly evaporated before life could become established. With no water left on the surface, carbon dioxide rose in the atmosphere, triggering a runaway greenhouse effect that created current conditions. Today Venus has a crushing carbon dioxide atmosphere 90 times as thick as Earth’s and temperatures at the surface reach 864 degrees Fahrenheit (462C), making life impossible.
The cause of the CO2 outgassing of Venus is not known. Here, however, we can fingerprint the CO2 rise directly to human activity by a number of different techniques.
Aren’t a lot of world leaders already on board with measures to stop climate change? Isn’t it Trump who’s the major roadblock? Difficult to point the finger at others when a major fault is right here at home.

The current “leaders” won’t save us, we need to save ourselves. We start by getting rid of the current crop.

Lots of world leaders know about climate change.
The USA should be the leader but Republicans deny science and reality.
Trump demands a Nobel prize for his giant ego, Greta was nominated for the prize in March.
