I’m not sure if Chuck is sleeping, or if Clair has put him to sleep…permanently.

A pillow to the face to allow Charles some privacy, or to keep him from interrupting Martha?

He is in the present…that’s the problem. Martha is also in the present, and past, and future…and …forever…always there….

dunno about this couple but when a pillow on my face it’s either I’m in the future already or …. in Heaven.

Is that pillow her present to him?
