A raven is like a writing desk in that they both exist.

That’s from Alice in Wonderland (or Through the Looking Glass). I don’t think Alice ever came up with the answer.

I’d sure like to know where Stella HASN"T stood guard and made riddles an entry pass.

“Which one?” – “The one that closed on opening day.”

Edgar Allen Poe wrote on both of them.

Maybe Stella should guard the school.

Marigold doesn’t look quite as nostalgic as her sphinx “friend”

A raven is like a writing desk because they both have feathers.

If Phoebe is late for school, will Stella give her a ride?

Okay, the Sphinx is only a little crazy, Phoebe. Shoo her away and get on with your day.

The riddle will be “What rough beast, its hour come round at last, slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?”

    1) Because Poe wrote on both.2) One is for writing books, and the other is for biting rooks.

If the square of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares on the other two sides, why is a mouse when it spins?

Thank you to all “Alice” fans; I did not know the answer or some of the background and did not remember that the riddle came from one of the “Alice” books. I have been a lifelong fan since a couple, college friends of my mother, presented me with a beautiful boxed set about 60 years ago. STILL a fan.
