all plants die as soon as I receive them mostly just to save themselves the suffering. I do NOT have a green thumb and the only thing that is green in my house is the couch.

Reminds me of Little Shop of Horrors where Seymour is telling the plant he wants it to grow big and healthy. For those unfamiliar with the story, the problem is the plant does grow big and healthy and with very interesting appetites.

Nice chuckle, there; some times I talk like this to my plants. Usually only after they are slated for the knackers . . .I tend to talk sweeter to them while they are doing well, or only slightly ailing…

Brian Crane must be watching my green(?) thumbed spouse. That sounds just like something she would say ( only in Spanish ).

Like me, Opal looks slimmer in the past.

Much better place would be your compost heap. You know, where Earl is destined.
