The flies have abandoned Doc… like rats on a sinking ship

Right, the flies — they haven’t been around lately so yeah I forgot about the flies. Okay… nothing like him except for Tracy and the flies.

“What about the booby-trapped law books?”

The books! Can’t forget about those, so yeah, nothing like him except for Tracy, the flies, and the books.

“Is that his uncle’s bow tie he’s wearing?”

Wait, what? Hey, that’s right, Flyface always wore bow ties too. So… wait a sec while I grab a pencil and note pad, this is gettin’ to be some list. So, nothing like him except for Tracy, the flies, the books, and the bow tie. Yep, Doc, you certainly go your own…

“Didn’t Uncle Flyface also go to prison for shooting someone?”

Aw, fer cryin’ out loud! So… nothing like him except for… Nah, never mind. I quit!

“And you destroyed two of my lovely yellow raincoats, doc. You’re going to pay for that as well!”

So you go your own way? Well, now, you can call it another lonely day, Doc.

I once had the last 10 minutes of a Family Matters cut off due to being cut to the all “important” but stupid OJ chase scene already in progress. The show was rerun at a later time so no harm no foul.

Like uncle like nephew. Sally can do nicely for herself if she gives up the earlier shooting. I will be looking for a “spread” in the next issue… :-)

1-DT: You’re in for it now Doc. You know what happens to pretty boys like you in prison. 2-DOC: It wasn’t me. I didn’t know the gun was loaded. I thought I was shooting at a bunch of ‘CAUTION CURVE AHEAD’ signs like I did as a boy in the country. Which one of those do you like best Tracy? I gotta a million of ‘em. But I think I’ll go with: You got no prints on the gun or witnesses so you got no case. So take a hike flatfoot. 3-DT: Well, if some deft application of the rubber hose doesn’t get a confession out of you we’ll sweat Lola Eyeque till she rolls over on you like a trained dog, like a steam roller on a new paved road, like my restless-sleeping, blanket-hogging girlfriend. DOC: Lola don’t sweat easy Tracy. She only wears a swimsuit ya know. DT: Hoo boy do I ever! YOWZA! AIIII YOOOOOO GAAAA!!!

And Doc? Get a new prescription for eyeglasses…

How many sets of cuffs does Tracy have anyway? He cuffed Sally, now he cuffs Doc…. i dont know of any cops that carry more than one set of cuffs at a time. Tho we could speculate that he was assuming there would be at LEAST two people to apprehend, Mitchell and Doc so that would make sense as to why he has extras…

By the by….. working on part three of “DIAMONDS ARE A GIRL’S BEST FRIEND” today.. have some errands that i (didnt want to) run last week so i will try and “make it a double” today

Doc hasn’t quite grown up too. Sounds much like a 10 year old. “…I go my own way, I’m nothing like him…” Some never grow up, some grow up by the point of a stick. (moi, sigh)

Great art. Justice is served and the play may go on. Love the Patterson Playhouse setting. Starting the story with an attempt on Tracy’s life was a good move. Vitamin and Kandi are strong members of the cast. My money is on Sally singing long and loud. Doc better watch his back in jail. The higher ups won’t take the loss of pure snow lightly. Best to take Doc’s tie, suspenders and shoelaces before locking his cell. Wouldn’t want any mishaps…

Part 3 and Part 4 of “Diamonds are a girl’s best friend” has been posted to the Dick Tracy Crimestoppers Network Group

Is it over yet? I want to see how Our Town turns out.

Doc is apprehended and cuffed without Tracy or any of the other cops having to fire a shot. Well done!

Jack Magnus will recover. Sally may sing and even eventually be rehabilitated, even if she is a dimwitted sunlamp-loving bathing suit fetishist. The show must go on, and since probably everyone’s adrenalin is way up, it will be a bang-up performance (perhaps the first time Our Town ever actually thrilled anyone). Vitamin Flintheart somehow manages to win again! The Patterson prospers….

I don’t understand this. How did Doc get from Tracy handcuffing him to the ICU?
