I think I saw a suggestion on a BBC presentation about 15 years ago. It involves a bit of flexibility. BTW, dimetrodons are NOT dinosaurs. They are a bit closer to mammalia from before the Mesozoic.

I see that the gene engineers created pseudo dimetrodons which are not dinosaurs and came before them. Different from the Spinosaurs egypticus which was a true dinosaur. Though the one in JP was their version not anything like the original.
