Should the Trump children be separated because of their CRIMES?

Jared Kushner lied on his security clearance federal form SF-86 (National Security background check). That is a federal FELONY.

According to Section 1325 of the immigration code, first time offenders crossing the border illegally (91% of illegal border crossers) is only a MISDEMEANOR, yet this “CRIME” is the basis on which Customs and Border Patrol justifies family separations, and why Julián Castro and Elizabeth Warren propose returning it to a CIVIL status violation, as it used to be.

Many of those who had babies ripped from their arms are NOT ILLEGAL. They presented themselves LEGALLY to border agents to request ASYLUM. Taking their children from them is an ILLEGAL violation of US law and international treaties to which the US is signatory, as EVERY FEDERAL JUDGE has ruled so far, whether appointed by a Democrat, Republican or even Trump himself.

For those who DID cross the border illegally, that is a MISDEMEANOR. But let the punishment fit the crime. NO PRIOR ADMINISTRATION has ever ripped babies from parents when intact families arrived together.

Here are some examples of other federal MISDEMEANORS:

• Improper display of the U.S. flag for commercial purposes

• Use of the 4H club emblem without authorization

• Use of the Smokey Bear or Woodsy Owl images without authorization

• Improper use of names or insignias

• Broadcast of an obscene word in regulated media

Anyone who believes that a MISDEMEANOR such as those listed merits having children and BABIES ripped away from parents — something that no previous administration has done to intact families that arrive together — then clearly they have a very strange view of family values.

Lying on federal form SF-86, which Jared has already admitted, is a federal FELONY (not a misdemeanor).
