There’re two really good story ideas here – teach doesn’t want to let them know she’s nervous – she has to manage dopey players. I wouldn’t have crammed them into the same strip.
Laugh if you want, but while the rest of the team is being humiliated by four-eyed nerds from a magnet school, Pee-Wee will be striding happily around the fountain.
Let’s see…who could they find to sub for Pee Wee at this late date? How about that kid with the sandals on the Robotics team? Or one of the Bushmiller or John Stanley (in the comic books) supporting characters we haven’t seen OJ use yet? (e.g. Irma, Oona Goosepimple, Rollo the Rich Kid) Or…who was that girl that Nancy had a fight with? Ellen, or Esme, or….Esther! That’s it, get Esther to be the sub! ROFL
