There won’t be a Monday comic so that I can actually run this Father’s Day gag on…Father’s Day.Yes, I know it’s shocking concept. On a Saturday I bought one of the early home pregnancy test kits that require first-morning urine. The next day was Father’s day, we watched for an hour as the little black ring formed in the tiny test tube and confirmed our suspicions. I took a picture of the test and have the ultimate dad joke. I tell my daughter that it was her first baby picture.
Of course I liked the way Nick found out about Nora in “After the Thin Man”, but I could see Mr. & Mrs. Charles exchanging the news in this fashion as well.
Reminds me of how the Bearenstains proposed, the human Bearenstains not the bears, from when their cartoons ran in Family Circle Magazine. “You’re what! And we got to what!”
