Congratulations Donald Trump! 100% exonerated by the Mueller report.

But oops, we have not actually seen the Mueller report.

We saw a “summarized” interpretation of the Mueller report by William Barr, an attorney general who had demonstrated bias against Mueller before being nominated (which is why he was nominated) whose son-in-law then got a job as a legal advisor to Trump, and whose past experience in the George H.W. Bush saw him covering up for the Iran-Contra scandal.

No problem. Obviously, the vindicated, exonerated Trump and his Republican allies will be rushing to do everything possible to get the entire report and its underlying documentation and evidence that proves Trump’s innocence made public, and those nasty Democrats will be doing everything possible to obstruct such a release.

But wait … that is not happening?

DEMOCRATS are the ones clamoring to release the full report and all supporting evidence and documentation but REPUBLICANS are the ones trying to block it?

    What could that possibly mean?

Maybe Bill Barr is up to his old tricks again, and maybe his “summary” falls short.

When those who are “exonerated” are the ones trying to hide the evidence of exoneration, maybe we need to see the full original material.

How can Barr have “read, marked, learned and inwardly digested” a 500 page report in one day?

Since crooked liar Trump is innocent, release the report.

If Trump is innocent, then there’s nothing to hide, right? So release the report, already.

My view is no different from several above.

What do we know already? Trump asked Comey for his loyalty. Comey did not give it and was FIRED. Sessions recused himself from the investigation because of a conflict of interest and was FIRED.

So far, all we have heard is Barr’s interpretation of the Mueller report and even that says Trump might still be guilty of obstruction of justice. It will be interesting to see what happens when the House gets it’s copy, as well as the ongoing NY state investigations.

Barr is well aware of what happens to those who cross Trump and has publicly stated several times over the years that he believes, that the President is exempted from most laws. What then, can we expect?

Barr’s twisted logic on Presidential Immunity is here:

The hard reality is that, under the American system of law, a person is innocent of a crime until it can be proved beyond a reasonable doubt that he is not. That’s the legal standard, and we should all be glad we have it. Mueller (not Barr) concluded that there was insufficient evidence to make a convincing case in court, so he didn’t recommend going down that road. I trust his judgment.

That said, the very same person who’s not legally liable may be guilty, guilty, guilty of bad judgment, incompetence, cravenness, and a terrible temperament. But those are not crimes, and the way to hold that person accountable is thru the electoral process, not the criminal-justice system.

So yeah, let’s get a look at the full Mueller Report and exercise some independent judgment on those character issues.

Tom Toles points out that the “exoneration” was performed over a very low Barr.

Yep, Barr kept all the promises he made in that 19 page “Job Application” he sent to Drumpf.

Barr’s silly little letter purporting to summarize the extremely lengthy Mueller Report reminded me of the old Woody Allen joke: “I’ve learned to speed read, and I just finished ‘War and Peace.’ It involves Russia.” (An unintended bonus joke in this instance!)
