Lets see… yesterday sam and tracy spotted lights coming from the warehouse, today Zelda says she cant dive because there are no spotlights to guide her… what in the wide wide world of sports is going on here? Are there, or ARENT there lights?
Wondering if what is happening in the last panel (Zelda’s statement that this won’t work since she normally has the spotlights to guide her) was a con, made up by her as a last desperate attempt to convince Splitface to abandon the planned high dive survival test. She should be able to see the target shallow pool and align her dive so as to hit the water, even without any external guidance props that she may have used in the past…
