I there are still some cultures who practice the ancient ways today.

And not every culture sees the same thing up there..

Alice is seeing the Alice constellation.

The pre-Alicians were wise to see Alice coming. And leave.

I always thought that it was degrading to have official constellations. We all see patterns in the stars, often different ones of the same stars, and don’t need primitive cultures as a template. This very morning I saw Zamfir with his pan flute riding a dragonfly through a halo of flies. I had been up all night, but still.

Alas: Because of air pollution, the naked eye can no longer see the faint lines that connected the constellations.

And on the pedestal, these words appear:

My name is Alice, Queen of Queens;

Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!

With luck, we’ll be an ancient culture one day.

Ancient cultures had their ways of foretelling impending doom. Today, we have the Uh-Oh baby; and if that fails, just ask Petey.

Never quite got the importance of constellations…but I guess they are entertaining stories…

I saw the Big Dapper in the Armani Cluster!

Funny, how I’ve never before noticed the constellation “Alice”!

As a kid, my favourite “constellation” was a big dragon that laid across the entire sky. Learning the “official” constellations kind of spoiled all that. :P
