When I lived on Maui, they would test the warning system about noon on Fridays… startled the bejeezus out of me the first time I heard it… (I was an Air Force brat and had heard plenty of alert tests growing up — and in the bad old days, you became very alert at that sound — and hoped it stopped soon.)
