Sedine’s one to talk about impractical, wearing ruby-red shoes that can’t even send you back home. Then again, they got Sam to carry Sedine home(or at least to the car) and Sam gets to carry her, that’s a reward in my book.
A practical sense of fashion is when I buy hiking grade shoes that are designed to look like dress shoes so that I can climb 50 flights of stairs a day in the hospital in comfort yet still impress patients.
So very much to like in this sweet and soggy Sunday strip. Sedine in profile is seductively stunning. She need not speak “shoes” for Sam to see the situation. A small pout sure beats a shout, as Sedine’s shoes are saved from saturation. Her chin rests atop Sam’s head, his smile foreshadowing the heart that says so much in the final panel. Let it rain!
Not that Sedine doesn’t always look cute—well, maybe her CloChi 1.0 days were an exception—but I think she looks especially cute in today’s strip, especially the first panel with the umbrella.
Side note: The remark that NewPatriot778 made about Sedine wearing ruby-red shoes inspired me to become an In Security patron on Patreon. It also reminded me of a story from my past. When I was in the first grade, there was this cute little girl in my class. From the moment I saw her, I had a crush on her—not so much because she was cute but because of the red Mary Janes she was wearing that day. Unfortunately, she didn’t feel the same way about me but we became friends and remain friends to this day. She joined the cheerleading team when we were in high school and, in our senior year, became captain of the team.
When Sedine mentioned “cute pink booties”, I instantly imagined she might like something like this. https://www.kmart.com/heart-in-d-women-s-waverli-coral-peep-toe/p-035VA87677212P#Imagezoom
Granted, they’re coral, but you can imagine them in pink,

I find it difficult to believe how many men don’t pamper their wives. They did when they were girlfriends.

So, what side of his head does Sam’s long hair grow, left or right? Or does it flop about.
