    Having fluently cursived at one point, I can’t say I understand why so many people are upset that it’s disappearing. In a world where the most efficient forms of documentation are becoming typing or even verbal dictation, the extra time spent learning a different manual writing system has been a net negative to time I could spend learning something I use.

    When most older people make little effort to update most of their knowledge, and children are forced to learn generally updated knowledge, it’s little wonder why children become the educators.

    Due to a grading mistake I ended up with 2400% in a German class once. The teacher had overgraded a 2 point homework with several extra 0s. She never fixed it, nor do I know if she knew how to on the computer.

    My approach to dating is mostly accidental. I had tickets to a Beatles remembrance concert and the person I was going with cancelled last minute. I asked a girl at my university I saw wearing a Beatles shirt if she’d like to go and it all went great from there.

    Never changing your views is not a virtue. People are changing their understanding of environmental science based on new research that comes out. Your stubborn belief that hasn’t been scientifically studied or verified doesn’t mean you know anything about the subject even if the research were to come in line with your beliefs eventually.
