Sure will be glad to see some changes in House Committees, like Natural Resources, Intelligence, Budget. I bet Bonsepurs coif is smoking, wait for the tweets.
In Florida, the Republicans stole the governorship and the Senate. As usual.
Until the voting machines and tabulators are destroyed, or paper trails and serious audits are instituted, we will never know who actually won, so I just ascribe to Republicans those same behaviors we have seen for so many years.
Let’s hope that the 116th Congress is more prudent that the 115th and willing to take back legislative power from the executive branch. It would be nice to have a Congress working for We the People instead of a political party or the corporations.
The republikkklans have exposed themselves for who and what they are. Of the rich, white people, by the rich, white people and for the rich white people.
The next two months will be brutal. GOP will contest as many elections as they can while mocking any efforts to sort through the self-imposed murk of Georgia’s election system. And they will have another four years worth of stuff they thought they’d have more time for which they’ll now try to cram into two furious months of pissing in the reservoir and selling off the seed corn.
So the Democrats have taken the House. That’s very good news indeed, but almost expected. No matter that the corrupt and traitorous Tяump and the TяumpubliKlans have spent the last two years giving the U. S. of A., including their own supporters, an ice water enema, still a disappointing number of voters continue to support them. So stupid. Hit me, beat me, make me vote Republican…
The best position the Democrats could be in is taking the house and not the senate. The house impeaches. The senate tries. Once Mueller’s report comes out, the house will impeach Trump and the senate will hold his trial. We could spend months putting on a show of Republican corruption— leading right up to the early 2020 cycle. Then, the senate Republicans will be in the position of voting him guilty and putting Pence in office with the smell of the Trump administration all over him, or voting him innocent and facing the voters in just a few months with that vote hanging over them. I would have preferred to win the senate, I think, but this could turn out rather well for the Democrats in 2020.

The good thing is, in my state, a record number of people voted. I wish that would be the norm.

Change the GOP’s diet and you might get the air to clear.

At least the 100% One Party Rule is broken. But the job isn’t finished yet. Not by a very long shot.

Beware the deadly lame ducks. By January, we may well have a dictatorship with the full consent of Congress and Supreme Court.
