Cliff couldn’t find the key for the Self Destruct breaker tag out lock after the last upkeep. Winky will be up with an angle grinder after they find the battery charger.
The engineers used conventional explosives for self destruct. They used a fuse that burns for 10 seconds before detonation. They forgot to account for those 10 seconds in the self destruct timer.
I did a lot of technical repair work, before I recently retired. Good news: The most dangerously destructive stuff, seldom if ever, work. Bad news: The stuff, most necessary for maintaining of, and/or saving of lives, also seldom if ever, work and need constant technical supervision to keep working.
