Don’t leaf me Lionel

I love this one. Spiders rule.

Anansi must be pretty fast if he was able to swing down, build a web, and save Lionel in the few seconds that elapsed since Lionel started falling!

I remember John and Marsha.

From the expression on the tree’s face, I say he has heard this, oh maybe a thousand times.

Can you imagine if our hair was treated like that by artists?

Some softie. The extra weight is just going to pull her down sooner.

Probably not intentional, but the tree looks a little disgusted at the whole business.

On a different note, it reminds me of a wonderful chapter from Bambi (the original 1928 book, pre-Disney), where two leaves, on the verge of falling off their tree in the late fall, discuss the nature of their lives, and whether or not they look any the worse for wear, and ultimately wonder if there’s an afterlife.
