Correction from yesterday: Makes as much sense as some of the “corrections” that have to keep being made to the “global warming” (strike that) climate change raw data. I had incorrectly stated “climate change models”. I wish news organizations would make their corrections as quickly and as up-front as this on the front page instead of ignoring or burying them on page 17.

“Softly, deftly, music shall surround you

Feel it, hear it closing in around you

Open up your mind, let your fantasies unwind

In this darkness which you know you cannot fight

The darkness of the music of the night”

Ben Franklin wrote a scientific paper on the subject – farts, not spiders.

GEOPHYZZ, Mark Twain dealt with the subject as well. See ‘1601’, for instance at http://archive.org/stream/160103190gut/3190.txt.

A recent Antigravity column in Scientific American mentioned a race horse named “Hoof Hearted.” Ah, sounds cute and noble at the same time, like a My Little Pony name. You have to wonder if the owner knew the name would be rattled off quickly on play-by-play and would be misheard as something else.

Very reminiscent of Calvin and Hobbs (not a specific comic, but the general idea).

I never liked the Danae cartoons on Non Sequitur. Whenever I see her, I skip the cartoon that day and go to the next one on Go Comics. So I’m skipping Non Sequitur the rest of the week. I guess Danae is popular, but for some reason, the Danae cartoons just aren’t funny to me. Does anybody else feel this way?

I’ve known a few horses that seem to be, let’s say, turbo boosted.

Why are they called “Mongolian” skunk spiders when they only invade restaurants serving Mexican food?

Lucy forgot for a moment that Danae also ate the Super Sized Bean Burritos.
