Why don’t they close the concession stands and lock the bathrooms during the anthem so all in attendance have to stand and act patriotic?

You can’t force people to stand for a flag,

you should give them reason to want to.

If a British subject kneels before Queen Elizabeth, is he being disrespectful?

If a devout parishioner kneels in church, is it because she loathes God?

If an ardent swain kneels before his beloved while proposing, does he hate her?

Was that gal from Kent State disrespecting the student shot by the Ohio National Guard?

OK, I’ll grant that anyone kneeling before Daenerys Targaryen or General Zod was probably doing so more out of fear than admiration, but you get the idea. When did kneeling become equated with lack of respect?

Let’s see now, the criminal and traitor Trump is objecting to people demonstrating in favor of cops obeying the laws, and in favor of liberty and justice for all. (Somebody should probably read the Pledge of Alegiance to Trump—after they warm him up with “The Cat in the Hat”, of course!)

The National Anthem says that any slave that joined the British for the promise of freedom, should be returned, tortured and killed. The British gave the newly freed slaves the choice of Canada or Trinidad rather than being returned to the USA and suffer that fate.

Don’t forget they are protesting the deaths of black people at the hands of the police, not the flag as the right wingers frame the argument.

If the police stopped shooting black kids, this wouldn’t be an issue.

Note the players’ union wasn’t consulted.

How about we just stop playing the nati9nal anthem at sporting events?

The owners and the NFL were so forthright about Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy, I’m sure they continue to have genuine concern for their wallets from sea to shining sea above all other human concerns or freedoms.
