Today is also my late father’s birthday. His brother’s, my uncle’s, birthday was the day that war was declared, the day after the attack on Pearl Harbor.
Arguably, Obama getting elected was a huge step forward for world peace in terms of American action — though alas, not a lasting one, since the racist reaction to Obama helped create this administration.
But let’s not assume #45 deserves any credit at all; since North Korea’s nuclear test facility mountain collapsed, they may well have nothing left of their nuclear ability, so they are only left with stalling and bluffing. “Making peace” with South Korea may just make it easier for Kim Jong-Il to build up his ability to take it over later, or stall hostilities until he has nukes again, assuming the Chinese let him have them again. Or China is using North Korea (as usual) as a pawn and a distraction in their real battle for global hegemony.

Yeah, Kissinger won the “Peace prize” for bombing a country back to the stone age, so there’s hope for Trumpee after all…

Personally, it all smells a lot like the 1938 Chamberlain-Hitler negotiations to me. There is an awful lot that hasn’t played out yet….

We’re so fortunate to have a stable genius who is the Best Negotiator in the History of Mankind.
Maybe he’ll get a piece prize. For Stormy and the grabees.

Trump isn’t going to get the Nobel. The Delegates have learned their lesson from their premature selection of President Obama.

I was and am an admirer of President Obama, but I never thought the Nobel Peace Prize was warranted.

Never expected to see #7 mentioned this way.

Actually, Kissinger got the Nobel Prize for losing the Vietnam War.

I’m sure Trump hears all sorts of people telling him he deserves a Nobel Prize…or at least thinks he does.
