There’s a reason why experts recommend making gun safes a requirement. Note that this has no impact whatsoever on the Second Amendment, but it would prevent thousands of children accidentally killing themselves with their parents’ weapons, as well as thousands of teenagers committing suicide all too effectively.

Had a friend that bought a 9mm pistol. Kept in the basement in a safe so his ADHD child couldn’t get to it.He bought it to protect himself from invaders. Very slow moving invaders.

Arm children so they can shoot anyone else in school with a gun. Makes sense to Trump.

A few years ago, here in Ohio, there was a proposed law that would require all handguns to be sold with a trigger lock. The bill made no changes to who could buy a gun or to background checks.

It simply required gun shops to include a trigger lock in the sale of every handgun. It didn’t even mandate the USE of the trigger lock.

The NRA lobbied hard against it, so the bill never passed.
