Time to reap what was sown. The whole point of public education was to equip the population with the knowledge and skills to run a democratic republic of the people. by the people. and for the people, not hand it off to a pair of self serving, mutually exclusive, opposing parties who serve the wealthy first then a sliver of the population they identify as their base … leaving the vast majority unrepresented. Some extremists believe in libertarianism or anarchy with virtually no taxes and no responsibility for social needs and no concern about debt … only an army is seen as necessary. There are no examples of a wealthy nation that uses these principles simply because they do not work. How much longer are we going to endure a crackpot ideology?
