A moot point to those who just experienced the Parent/Police Conference.

The next generation will be the PTSD generation. But you can feel safe sleeping with your WMD!

In addition to increased probability that students get caught in a crossfire between teachers and shooter or a teacher gets accidentally shot by a cop mistaking the teacher for the shooter, consider the increased likelihood of the latter scenario if the armed teacher is black.

Any thoughts on a likely outcome when the SWAT team crashes in looking for an active shooter and the black teacher is doing the same?

Apologies if you’ve seen this comment elsewhere. I think it bears repeating.

She just hates it when you call on her now! GOP making abortion illegal so they’ll have more children to shoot.

In related news, despite the existence of a fire department and many laws against arson and carelessness, people still die in fires. So from now on, everyone will have a water pistol to carry at all times, and is instructed to use it while running into the flames.

Your daughter continues to willfully refuse to learn her lessons. I’m worried she’ll grow up to be a Republican!

Trump has come up with some really stupid ideas: yewge, bigly, like stupid ideas, but this one makes the top 10 billboard.

Let’s start with the basics – everyone in DC who is suggesting we arm teachers is not a teacher.

.38 pistol versus automatic weapon – not a contest, my money is on the shooter, not the teacher.

So teachers are always “packing” – if I want a gun, mug a teacher. How about the 68-year-old, frail music teacher. She’s a sweet little old lady … and an easy target.

In the confusion, the teacher shoots the wrong student. Cops break down the door, see an armed person and take the appropriate action – add one more teacher to the death list, this time to “friendly fire.”

However think this through: Trump’s proposal is to let the shootings continue until and depend upon someone killing the shooter. It does nothing to stop the shootings in the first place.
