This is a great idea! Better a bunch of balloons than the real thing. And instead of helium, they could be floating hydrogen “bombs”. (As long as there were no people anywhere around).
So the “fugal and deficit hawk” GOP now wants a “money saving” huge increase in military spending and a military parade worthy of a communist dictator. Thank goodness we have the party of “fiscal responsibility” running both Congress and the Whitehouse.
This “parade” isn’t nearly as insane, or more importantly, dangerous, as Donnie Dumpster. Over a trillion for nukes, nothing for health care, education, environmental protections, or REAL actions to protect and defend the people, or the Constitution. As the general said in response to the request for him to surrender, the nation must say, “NUTS!”, and get rid of all of them in the Administration and Congress on the “right” which is infinitely wrong today.
SpongeBob is appropriate, in that our fearful leader Trump does soak up ignorance like a sponge! (By the way, wasn’t General Kelly supposed to be the grownup in the room? Now he’s calling the Dreamers “lazy.” Don’t know if you’ve noticed it, General, but a kid with a weekly (not daily) paper route works harder than Trump!)

If anyone asked the troops, they’d know, from what I’ve heard them say, they hate parades. Practicing for parades is just more nonsense that takes them away from what they value, defending the country. And they know it’s just to inflate his ego further.
Does anybody remember that that used to be if an immigrant, a green card holder served four years in any branch of the service he could be sworn in as an American citizen on that basis alone?

If the Repugs want to turn the US into a third world country, we’re going to have to start acting the part.

I wonder. Does the guy regularly call political cartoonists asking what wacko idea he can come up with that would be easiest to lampoon?

Actually, there is a collectible (1970s? early 1980s) depicting Snoopy as a tank driver.
