If you walk away from your friends (Dawn Enjo in Panel 1 and Christopher Nichols in Panel 2) and sit by yourself, it doesn’t matter if you are frowning or not. People get the message that you don’t want to have anything to do with them.

Elizabeth is scaring them away with the angry look that she is using to hide her loneliness behind…

Oh, Liz – I can relate. But you know you have friends, so don’t shun them!

Liz has reached adieu-less-sense.

There was a story about one boy on a baseball team who had a big nose. The rival team thought they could shatter his confidence by teasing him about his nose the next time he came up to bat. All he did was laugh it off. “Nothing you can do about that. You play the game of life in the uniform you were issued.”

Pity, party of one.

I have seen this played out in real life. More than one person I have known.

Most of us do this somet8mes. Bless the friends who see us like that and actually talk to us anyway! May we all be that kind of extravagantly kind friend!

It’s your frown that’s turning your friends away, Elizabeth. Try smiling and making eye contact with them.

But your the one pushing your friends away. If you don’t understand the basics of friendship, then your relationship life won’t fair much better

To have a friend, be a friend.

Likewise, life isn’t fair – but ask yourself if you’ve always been fair!

I have been there. Sometimes, it’s hard to let go of the anger. Especially if you have a real reason to be ticked off.

What Lizzie needs is a nice big beanbag to sulk into.

Shouldn’t friends be the ones to approach you with a frown to ask why?

Aww Lizzie I like you and if you just show them that adorable smile of yours they show you they like you too :)

A lot of people do not realize people who do this sometimes NEED someone to come to them because what they’re feeling is holding them back. Instead of keeping your distance get off your ass and reach out! I learned this the hard way and constantly wonder if I had taken the time to go to make the effort if that friend would still be here today!

Most of the comments I’ve read here aren’t wrong but surely aren’t expressing a compassionate viewpoint based on the life altering experience I or someone else could have changed!

Yes we all experience loss but sometimes we don’t have too!
