I’m proud of Pig; he practices what he preaches.

“Self help books” should be called “people who need help books”.

Wow, I just realized that Pastis’ art work is not the worst it could possibly be.

I know some thin skinned bigots who could also use Pig’s trick…

So I click on the Spanish version and see that “mature” is “maduro.” Now there’s an oxymoron if you’re following events in Venezuela.

I think someone should write a “self help” book with the message and the title “Leave Yourself Alone.”

I sell books. Over a period of a couple of years, I waited on a customer who bought almost every new self help book that appeared on the shelves. Was he just following an interest? He never bought anything on any other topic. Was it related to his work, perhaps as a counselor of some sort? As the months passed, his glasses… changed. They got thicker, both lenses. Eventually , even with glasses, he had to hold a piece of paper money up close to his face tell whether it was a one dollar bill or some larger denomination. Then he quit coming to the book store altogether. A year later, at a downtown rail station, I saw him waiting for the train. He was wearing dark glasses, being led by a guide dog. I don’t know his story. But I am saddened that as his light failed he was reading just those books. I wonder how easy they are to get in Braille?

To all those who feel they must discuss their insane politic views on a NON-POLITICAL strip, I repeat what Pig said.

“Hey Pig, you dropped your wallet with $200 and your credit cards in it.”

    “Lalalala, I can’t heeeeeaaaare you!”

He also can’t hear the thing that I learned by trying to hold down the e and the a for repeated letters. If you hold down certain letters, you get an option menu for variants, many with diacritics. á æ č ï ø õ. I may be among the last to discover that, but I thought it was interesting.

It works for Pig, Rat. “More mature” is not what suits Pig, anyway….
