“Hello, up there. Um, look, I know we haven’t spoken in a while, but I was just wondering, its been a while since the last rain, and now looks like as good a time as any.”
has info and links that point to info about this painting (best viewed using Google Chrome – can automatically translate webpages if necessary). It is part of a triptych. Its 3 paintings are the Other versions.
I added the larger current default image. The strip is based on the prior image in the File history.
Everything I found says 1843 for the date; but, the bottom rightmost log in the default image is inscribed with 1846, which makes the 1843 date odd (to me anyway).
Again, a larger strip image is shown by clicking the image in Mr. Melcher’s blog entry for yesterday (February 8, 2017), accessible by the Check out the blog! box after the last comment; so, I won’t point to it here.
Lucky for the gagged one, TV cameras were on. Otherwise, the KKK Kongress would have strung her up from a nearby tree – and blamed her for getting in the way of the noose.
