Here’s your dose of Useless Knowledge for the day: The “kid saves the Netherlands by sticking his finger…” isn’t an old folk tale. It was created by Mary Mapes Dodge for her book “Hans Brinker, or the Silver Skates.”

At least he got there ahead of the lawyers for the EPA who have a cease and desist order for his interfering with a wetland without permits or an environmental impact study.

Can we get that guy to stop having America turned into a bad reality show?

This story is told as an illustration how even a little boy could save Holland just by using his little finger early on in the advent of an avoidable catastrophe..I understand Trump has a son. .Poor lad hat to watch yesterday how his father’s minions handcuffed and incarcerated a five-year old American boy: For committing the most American act ever, namely having a foreign mother, exactly like Trump himself, exactly like his son..I would hope my kids would at least wag a finger at me if I did that kind of horrible thing.Failing that, who is going to stop the madman?

All “reality TV” is, is an unscripted program. This got its start during a writers strike,discovered by someone in upper management as a way to get rid of the writers union. Doesn’t matter what the industry might be, the hard right managers just want to destroy all unions, which would, they think, also get rid of the Democratic party

I thought I had seen it more recently so I tried to google it. It must have been a different strip referring to the little Dutch boy.

It turns out that today’s re-run strip is also a re-make a a Non Sequitur strip from 1993, slightly adjusted to the times!

Isn’t that fascinating?
