If this were set in the ‘50s, I’d say Miss Bliss had become a beatnik! It must be the artsy-fartsy inclination, plus maybe some bad influence from her Banjo Man….

She looks to me like a witchy woman.

Chris Long – CdS has been in reruns for years now. Mr. Thompson’s declining health stopped him from drawing it in 2012.

So sad to hear of Richard’s passing. Hope his family is well.

Sorry to hear of his passing, but he left a legacy of humor behind that continues to delight us. RIP.

Very, very sad. The best comic strips, by the best cartoonists, usually get many more years.

I just learned of Mr. Thompson’s passing. Thank you for sharing the Otterloop family with us, especially someone as relatable as Petey. Rest well.

Just found out. Man, Parkinson’s disease is horrible! RT left too soon. He left this great legacy behind, and he could have done so much more.

I also read today that Mad Magazine cartoonist Jack Davis passed on to the Great Inkwell in the Sky.
