    I thought their first hit was ‘U Stink But I ❤️ U’.

I would think Barry Manilow’s “Looks Like We Made It” would be appropriate for this… :-P

I saw that Manilow is going on tour at age 80 this year. I wonder what they’re paying people to go. I agree with Just Me. Led Zeppelin Kashmir is coming up.

I would love to go see Barry Manilow, if for no other reason but to thank him for donating a gorgeous new electronic keyboard to my daughters’ middle school. (The announcement was made on 4/1, so my older daughter thought it was an April Fools prank, until she saw it.) (and wouldn’t you know it, but “Ready To Take a Chance Again” just came up on my playlist!)

I know its easy to poke fun at him (Ray Stevens’ send-up is hilarious) but he seems to be a decent sort. If he is supporting music in the schools, then he gets my vote for being a good person.

I have always imagined that “Mandy” is about a puppy he once had that he chose to give up and came to regret it. That’s what I believed when I was a kid in 1976, and that’s what I choose to believe today.
