Approaching now the city mickleLuann’s doubts begin to prickle. From flying plane into the panWhere plans sizzle for SueAnne,And in what ways will they missFor newly renamed Beatrice? And yet adventure is born thusWhen you aside the plans and fuss,And find the new ways that life fitsFor all your mess and bits and wits.

Let this New York journey begin!!!.I’m so glad this page is full of Luann nerds like me. Yesterday I was sharing my passion for team Gunthany with my grandma who reads this comic in the newspaper. She looked really disinterested and she kept trying to change the topic :p

“Sueanne+Beatrice” is close enough to Luann and Bernice, coming from a theatrical person, especially one dressed so…colorfully? Greetings and welcome to NYC!

I guess I’m just kinda sad that no one is ripping on Greg and Karen for not providing full disclosure on how Luann could afford all of this. Who’s feeding Puddles? Luann doesn’t have a seatbelt like Bern. No, wait .. the colorist screwed up – That should be Bern’s sweater, not a belt! OMG this strip is falling apart.

7So, is that person who is picking them up Romeo, or is she someone else? Regardless, she does indeed exude a “theatrical” flair about her. Bernie and Luann are certainly dressed nicely for plane travel. They are harkening back to an earlier time of plane travel (IMO) (1950s) where people did dress nicely for the ride. Dressing nicely for the ride is far less common today due to the nearly claustrophobic nature of most cabins where folks are packed into the plane like sardines. Today, many, many folks dress for riding the plane in the most comfortable clothing they can find, myself included. I typically wear loose fitting jeans, and a light shirt and a zippered, hooded sweatshirt on any flight to any destination these days. The temperatures on the planes seems to vary considerably enough that with that get-up I can be reasonably “sardine” comfortable come what may.

I hope that the presumed Romeo will be taking Bernie and Luann to their hotel or hostel first before embarking on whatever adventure is planned for them today. I know for me, anyhow, the plane ride is stressful enough (my eustacian tubes do not regulate pressures well, so the up and down of the plane is not particularly comfortable for me) that I need time to a) unwind a bit, b) drop off luggage, c) take a shower andd) change into clothes more suitable for wherever I am going.

Sheriff, if it is a coloring error, it is one that works. Whenever i have flown i have noticed that when belts are optional some still wear them, and that woukd fit Bernice’s personality. She is still a rather “seatbelts always on” type of person. In fact, i wonder if she took it off to get herself to the rest room on the plane or if she will soon need the “Lady’s”.

Indeed…. air travel these days IS exceptionally uncomfortable and unpleasant. The only reason (as you stated) that I will still fly a few times a year is ONLY because of the time savings. If I have the time, I would rather take a train, bus, car, or anything else other than a plane…. probably even a camel.

Anyone care to make a prediction as to what Romeo’s necklace bauble is? A) To me, it mostly looks like an egg, cracked. Sort of an all white version of the “Partridge Family” egg from the 1970s ( http://static.rcgroups.net/forums/attachments/1/6/5/6/7/7/t2142167-72-thumb-egg.jpg?d=1225233062 ).B) Also, however, it looks like potentially like a “Peace Sign” from back in the 1960’s ( https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/d/d2/Peace_sign.svg/220px-Peace_sign.svg.png ).However, if it were a “peace sign” it would have probably been filled in with the blue color of the sweater in the center. It seems unlikely to be a solid “peace sign” medallion with a white background. It seems that Romeo’s “style sense” runs far more eclectic than the 1940’s era styling that seems to typify Pru. Romeo seems to be wearing a “Tu-Tu” sort of ballerina skirt with a big, bulky sweater over a black leotard and high heels. The green hoop ear rings must be needed to tie the whole look together, I guess. :)

Anyway, E (and Pru) each have something most in Manhattan do not have. Do you know what it is?

Also, if the white streak is natural then E might have a Neural Crest Genetic Variant. Those do cause varying degrees of deafness. It woukd be interesting if Team Evans is familiar w it.
