This is quite an interesting retelling of the Biblical Story of Sodom and Gomorrah. Well, the original intent, where it was about people who were cold and callous to visitors, not the KJV-onward where they decided to make it about homosexuality because… reasons?

Yes…after the destruction of the nursery (targeted destruction of the eggs is moot because the fire would have done it anyway); and after the fire killed so many more; and with those who lost so much being turned to dust around you as they scream—it’s all about what Sarah lost. What a nasty character.

Just realized…the Jim-thing probably intended to burn Reptilopolis down, and that’s all. Killing the nursery would have made the lizards suffer (which he/it would enjoy), but the timing of the fire prevented the news from getting far. So, someone else probably did the eggs; someone who didn’t know about the coming fire. Sarah, who probably intended to use a similar argument to this week’s “evil Outsider” speech.

I’m actually sad to see Piotr go. Poor guy. Poor, totally blind to Sarah’s awfulness guy.

I have to agree with a previous commenter on an earlier page – the Pit would indeed be a good place for Sarah…

Poor Piotr got chunked to the side like yesterdays newspaper.Like Darwin says I kinda hope he makes it. He is a good soul and deserves a second chance.I gotta a feeling Sarah is going to get clear.Some else waits for her. Something far more wicked that a quick death.That is too easy.

I can’t figure out what Sarah is doing in panel 3. Is she just pointing toward Wally, or throwing something?

I think what Piotr, when he called out to sarah, “sarah?!” He may be seeing her for what she is.He may have just come to his senses and might make it out alive. He has still been a disappointment in his blindness to evil mainly Her evil.

Really the only point of this day’s strip may be to give Piotr a way out.

I think that even before the KJV, the Torah condemmed homosexuality. This is why Jewish men have facial hair, they are not supposed to “put blade to their face”.

I’m afraid Piotr bought it. After Sarah shoved him in panel 3, it looks like he took a direct hit in panel 4.

At this point, I cannot help but suspect Sarah was a Trojan Horse all along, with promises made that she would be allowed to rule over the survivors. Or- she is massively delusional and her comment about the arrival of the drones was just a good guess. But now that the drones are here and likely are going into a destructive frenzy, there will be no survivors, and perhaps not even ruins of the colony complex by the time they are finished.

Hello folks. Sadly Piotr is still thinking with his little brain and it has or will caused him to pay the ultimate price. If you look at Sarah’s feet in the last panel, it definitely appears that they are too high off the ground for running. I think she is being grabbed by the drones, for what purpose we will soon learn. About the only one dying or dead worth mourning is Jim, thank God he got his revenge.

The Topsiders seem to have pretty bad aim. Maybe Sarah will survive after all. If so, we haven’t seen the last of Jim.

Flask was a partial anthro after transformation, kind of like Al keeps his completely human form even though he is exposed to the virus. Al would also be experimented on if caught.

Sarah is no “leader” but only in her warped mind. I amost feel sorry for Piotr. He thought he and Sarah could escape together, but she dumped him just as easily as she dumped Jim.All that matters to her now, besides getting out of the TS line of fire, is finding Wally and Company and getting the revenge she thinks she deserves.

My heart sank at panel 4 as I’m seeing that as Piotr as well….

If Piotr has been dusted, it could be said to be karmic retribution for going along with a system that he knew (in his heart) was wrong. Honestly, I hoped that he would live and learn to listen to his conscience. Still, better men and women have died in this strip.I think Mr. Pepper may have lived. He was at Sarah’s right in panel 3 and was probably still off camera in panel 4. Mind you, if Sarah’s shove knocked him down, his chances for a long life were not good.

Commentary on past comments…there’s been some talk about Sarah being planted on the lizards by the Topsiders, in order to bring about their destruction—-but it seems improbable, as there could be no way to know what kind of mutant she would mutate into. Or is there a way to know?

Sarah’s comment re the Topsiders arriving ahead of schedule. If she’s not a plant (and I don’t think that’s a possibility) then it’s possible she set the fires knowing they would be a beacon, although I can’t imagine why she would want to. OR, she could simply have realized that the fires that Jim set would be a beacon that would draw the drones, which seems the more reasonable solution.

Whatever the explanation for the disaster, I’m betting Wally and Co. won’t get asked back again!

The new comments about Sarah not being a plant/Trojan Horse do have merit in the limited sense that mutation seems random- but, more and more, I can’t but help that the TSers may know more than they are letting on. But only Arron knows for sure. Though it is not impossible for Sarah to be doing all this on the fly, sociopaths are often extremely creative/nimble in their machinations, we’ll have to go for the ride to find out what’s really going on.

Hmm… I think that Sarah is trying to get to the ditto dome in order to hide from the drones, or to expose Wally and party, or both. But I also think that she won’t get that far because Jim is going to rise from the flames/pit and consummate their relationship just before the drones dust ’em both.

Interesting question, are the dittos beam-proof?
