Oh yeah, Sarah did it. Don’t worry, I’m sure that if cutting someone’s paws off with teeth won’t kill someone, setting them on fire won’t kill them either. So yeah, go Team Flaming Raccoon for Monday!

Y’know, while I’d like to think that Piotr is going to eventually speak up and expose Sarah for the fraud she is, I have a feeling that the fact that he shoulders at least some of the blame for Jim’s breakdown, which led to the destruction of the colony, is helping to keep his tongue still.

If she was from the colony…why’d Sarah need the tour? Why didn’t she say something about her abduction then? Piotr could mention this, but he’s probably been ensnared by Sarah’s lacertilian wiles. He didn’t seem power-hungry.

We’re missing a few of the colony’s previous leaders. I really doubt they want to see a coup, or mob violence at this point. Especially since Chic is at risk (see how Piotr handles Sarah ordering Chic’s death). Or how Piotr deals with Kirbee’s testimony.Too many loose ends to make a calculated guess as to what happens next. Except possibly that Queen Sarah wins after all.

Would be nice if the transporter brain showed up about now, hooked into a battery and a voice box. What tales he/she could tell.

Of course, I too expect raccoon flambé as the entrée…

Piotr hasn’t shown much courage so far for calling guano for what it is. His whole exposition on the background of the colony was colored by his rationalizing the bad things. He told himself that the racism was just for show to keep outsiders away, when it was reality. I wouldn’t be surprised if he keeps quietly lying to himself.

It would be rewarding for Jim to arrive and give her lies a quick re-buttle, and then give her a really juicy and somewhat slow painful death.I think I’m feeling this so strongly is not about this as much as all the the too big to get caught criminals and pyscopathic evil-doers in real life.So much of this story has a similar counter-part in real life.So we have our group of innocent good guys facing death because of trechery To have Jim and/or Queen Helena show up, both would great, ince Helena would also go medevil on her.Plus Helena Needs to know that Chic is alive with a great futer (we hope) or less likely, that Chic gets to stay with mom at home.

I gotta wonder if Sarah was this much of a psycho before her transition, or does she have a variant of what made Jim go nuts.

Because, my prediction now is, having spent something like two years to get to this point, I’m becoming terribly afraid that these complications will cost us another year to get out of the burning building!

Throwing a complete ‘what if’ here, but what if…..Sarah was in fact putting the whole diabolical act on? And she’s in fact fooling the remaining lizards and Piotr is aware of her intentions and is nervous about the whole thing. I don’t know how I’m thinking that other than the fact I always assumed everyone knows everyone in that lizard colony so for her to convince them she was one of them all along when even Piotr didn’t recognise her and gave her the whole tour because he saw her as ‘different’.

Given the events from their capture, the circumstances and opportunities given to her plus no remorse for Jim I’d say of course I’m talking rubbish. But the stupid theory was an itch I had to scratch (mention)

Just when you think Sarah can’t get any nastier…I don’t see her behavior as too unusual. As a Topsider (unmutated) she considered herself one of the elite. She fell into a colony where those who looked like her eradicated those who did not. She again finds herself one of the elite. Once a racist, always a racist. She only changed the race she thought was best.

I can’t help thinking this part doesn’t make any sense. Yes, she’s a lizard, but she’s as much an outsider to the city as the rest of the group. Why are they all suddenly backing her? I’d think more than just Piotr would be doubting her.

The Cult of Personality. This has caused a lot of grief in history.Sarah must have worked in Topsider MKUltra programs.Either that or these are some dumbass lizards.Kirbee may be the smartest one of the bunch.

Hey, Dadof3!Can you help me with my math? The first Jarlidium books were about 96 pages each, and 3 strips per page, right? And The Ballad of Holly and Wally ran 2 books, so that should be about 570 strips. At roughly 5 a week, that’s 260 strips a year, so the full Ballad arc would have been 2 years long. Jarlidium reprinted the books so that Ballad was compiled into one book, and should have part of Countdown in volume 2, for a total of 270 pages for the one volume. But I don’t know how many strips per page that is.If The Quest to Leave Endtown is going to fill another complete volume, we have somewhere around 400 panels now, and the target is either 570 strips, or 860 depending on the number of strips per page and number of pages in the new format, and we’re now at 3 strips a week… Do you think the current arc will go another 170 panels, which will be 1 year, or 460 panels at 2.5 years? (Discounting the Milk Trial, which I didn’t include in the count…)

I really, REALLY wish this would get picked up as a cartoon somewhere simply so I get more of my Endtown fix with each update. These four panels are so tantalizingly restrictive!

I’m pretty sure Sarah was always like this. I’m thinking that she probably wasn’t strong enough (or brave enough) to steal a ride to the wastes by herself. (Which is why she dropped Jim like a hot potato when she realized they weren’t “compatible”)

OMG! It just stuck me that, given the tendency for sociopaths to project their own issues on their foes, that Sarah could actually be a TSer Trojan Horse all along. That and she has an awfully well-developed narrative for everything, not that something couldn’t be worked up on the fly, but it is almost too good. At the same time, I’m wondering about the gullability of the lizards in general- she was a TSer herself just a week or so ago, so her claim of indentity and shared whatever shouldn’t hold up to serious thought.

Further thought on dumb lizards- Yeah, considering the paranoia that EndTown showed to TSers, it seems weird that the lizards would take in Sarah so quickly- unless it is a particularly indiscriminate “one of us” reaction. Doesn’t make much sense.
