Summer. The best season to start out with a bunch of mosquito bites.

The only good thing about summer is you don’t have to go to school. For us adults who don’t go to school, it’s the same old same old, just hot.

Great. Calvin and Hobbes get to play outside all summer while I’m stuck in a building with no windows.

I may be mistaken, but I don’t think hot, humid, buggy and breezeless and pollen-filled bothers tigers.

It’s summer no matter what, Calvin. But the meaning is blunted some if you’re an adult who has to work.

I miss the summers of youth. Just laying in the grass, feeling the shade.

It seems that memories of the summers of childhood get better and better as one ages. One remembers the freedoms but tends to forget the frustrations and limitations of childhood, along with the hours of boredom. Life is a series of many different phases. Every phase has its frustrations and limitations. The secret is to try to recognize this, try to accept it, and then try to enjoy every phase as much as possible.

And here I sit, in the swing on our front porch, looking out over our fountain, surrounded by some beautiful plantings!

    Heh heh heh heh… sorry!

Last summer we had 6 days where the temperature reached 90 degrees. We’ll beat that this week and summer isn’t officially here yet.

Hey Leading Edge, buy yourself a mannaquin from a store and fix it to your bike, i did that with my truck and put it in the passenger seat. Always had a little buddy.

I’m obviously in the minority but I always dread the summer. I just can’t stand it.

Summer makes me feel depressed and sets my Hay Fever away.

I don’t dislike Winter; but one thing is sure, I like Summer a whole lot more than Winter now that I am retired from my business…

Where did Calvin’s safari hat & shovel come from, suddenly? Or Hobbes’ flag for that matter?
