Just wait till the baby gets there. There will be fluffy tails for about a week because they don’t know who the new one is. Then, they’ll be reporting everything that happens to the new addition. The one thing they will ponder is what name the new addition will have.

I’ve never actually lived with a cat, but my impression was that ALL furniture was cat furniture – including the “furniture” in the kitchen and bathroom.

When my first grandson was born, the cat guarded him like a pit bull from the moment he was brought home. They were life long friends. Sadly, kitty has now passed on.

Thank you so much for the congratulations! To answer, it is for the past AND the present! I wrote this strip many months ago to bring our son into the comic, who is nearly two years old now. And I am due with our second child (a baby girl) this April!
(And not to worry, the comic will continue here, and without a break, thanks to a long backlog!)
