    I hope he isn’t tearing out his own teeth! Or going into full self-destruct He would be hard to loose. Not as much as Alley the alcoholic alligator.Chic may welcome Holly’s presence and any motherly instincts about now.I hope Wally can find a way to talk him down, and maybe use his breakdown for a chance to leave to get Jim out of the hellhole they are all stuck in.

    Dammit Jim, you’re a man, not a reptile. You, uhm, might wanna check what komodo dragons eat. Here’s a hint. You really don’t wanna draw attention to yourself. Oh look. Shiny voting links!

    Sarah: “No, he’s fine. That’s the same yell when we both saw each other naked for the first time.”Piotr: “Are you sure? This yell sounds a little green. Did Jim become a 3’-tall Hulk at the end of the scream?”

    He may have experienced a similar incident involving schism syndrome. Heaven help them, should Jim turn feral.

    You’re dead Jim…Piotr seems to have some experience with schism syndrome.Quick, hand that Raccoon, a Twinkie, a turtle, and a screwy squirrel named Hammy!It may defuse the situation, unless you run out of Twinkies..A while back I postulated the idea as to how any of us would react if we were suddenly transformed.I’m sure most of us could imagine being an animal in a flight of fancy. What’s the first thing to come to mind?Are you an Eagle? A Cat, A friendly Poodle? What if you could be that creature, how would you cope? Not having thumbs or the height to reach things or getting paw marks or slobber on all you touch.. Oh well, at least its yours..What if this could happen, what if this could be a reality. There will be as many handicaps as advantages, perhaps more.Imagine this happening, but the result is not what you desired.What if you are a slug instead of an Eagle? A Ferret instead of a Cat? A miniature Poodle instead of a Standard.All your cognitive abilities are intact even your intellect, how frustrated will you become?All your life until this point you have been.. You.You are used to your body, your face, your opposable thumbs.Now it is different, there’s no going back, how do you cope with such a drastic change?As I have gotten older (I’ll be 51 in 3 months) I have gotten used to the grey hair, the CRS, etc. The one this that upsets me greatly is my diminishing eyesight. My skill sets rely heavily on my ability to use color, perspective, and visual acuity to accomplish my works. The anger I feel is apparently normal, OK, My frustration at the change is strong. I feel a hostility toward my body as it lets me down. What am I becoming?I’m actually a pretty happy person, despite the horrible life I’ve had, and the cruel and indifferent world i find myself in.How do any of us hold onto our “humanity”.We are all animals, chained to the animal state, this is a fact, our civility we extend to one another as a courtesy because we were raised to is but a thin veneer.Look at how easily we can access or primal drives with the loss of things like freedom, property, a loved one, or our favorite sports team losing the game.There is the rule of Law to keep most of us in check, if we access the forbidden state there are places where they can send us. For many this is not enough, there is the empty threat of an less than pleasant afterlife to reinforce the rule.I like to play “nice” with people until they prove themselves one way or another. If it is less than what I expect, i cut them from my life.My worship of logic and rationality is what keeps me sane (sort of) We are creatures that are living dichotomies.Sort of like the Mc DLT our hot side hot – our cool side cool.but put those together and oh boy there’s gonna be conflict.We lose when we deny our darker natures, no matter how we deny it it is there whether we like it or not.Accepting it and understanding it means salvation.

    “Silly girl to be a fool, you didn’t play the golden rule.Cos’ once you’re through with one world, there’s another waiting there”“I can dream of flying high above the city’s cares and never be afraid of anyone cos’ there ain’t no one there”Sorry, didn’t mean to expound on this so much.I blame Aaron! Thanks man.. you made me think!Tooooooo muuuuch!Love ya!

    Well, at least Jim has Wally’s attention. If Piotr goes to him for help, noting that he’s behind the walls, Wally is more likely to say something more helpful than ask why he should lift a finger to help “you lizards!”. He probably knows what the schism can do, he also knows that Holly is behind those walls.

    Every action comes with rewards and consequences.…Piotr was assigned the task of welcoming Sarah into the fold, and has now become Sarah’s new love interest (reward).…But by doing so, the love lizards have broken Jim’s heart…and his mind. And now, there is a crazed raccoon running loose in the crevices of Lizardtown (consequence).…Piotr has some serious explaing to do (consequence).…The only ones who can help Jim now are the non-reptilians, which will, under no circumstance, look good for the reptilians (consequence).

    @Veteran,What came to mind to me was an old Boxtops / Roy Orbison hit “Break my Mind”. The part that goes;

    " If you say good by to me you’re gonna leaveA babbling fool behind"

    If Jim doesn’t keep his mind, he could remain a “brute”. A trapped, hurt, enraged brute. And, there could remain, somewhere in that brute, the association of Sarah with that pain. Brute-Jim could decide to find Sarah and repay her with teeth and blood. And he’s already found the hidden passages.

    I think Holly and Chic could avoid Brute-jim. If Jim is far enough gone, he’s not going to have enough reason to remember what happened a few days, or weeks, ago. Sarah is the one who pushed him over the cliff he’s falling from right now.Sarah’s reactions to Jim so far show me that she has no empathy at all. She can’t see what the fuss is about. Her reaction seemed to be, “Jim’s gone nuts. So what? He’s out of my hair.” without a thought at all for what he’s going through, or the harm he could inflict on others. Hopefully Piotr will see this as well and be wary.
