    Good morning everyone!

I think my buddy Vitamin is about to have a heart attack! Kandikane is too much for him. He should call Vista Bill for assistance in situations such as this!

I wonder how many Lakota think differently of Tacanke Luta and not in a good way since he sided with their captors?-——-I don’t think there was any positive way of looking at it from the Lakota point. They’d lost their land, their freedom, and their traditional way of life.Nothing was going to bring it back, and accepting the new reality meant dealing with the whites, one way or another.

Poor Vitamin, when you pass hundred the stroke risk is paramount! Someone better call an ambulance, let alone pills! It’s only me or Kandykane bears a strong resemblance with Blaze Rize?

Vitamin’s heart may not be up to meeting such a lovely, sweet-as-candy young lass! But his vast repetoire of pills must include something that will snap him out of his egad trance! Such fun for an old guy!

Night-Gaunt,.Re your question:.“I wonder how many Lakota think differently of Tacanke Luta and not in a good way since he sided with their captors?”.I can’t pretend to speak for the Lakota people. I can only point out that his contemporaries did choose him to be a tribal elder, that he was known by his people for always trying to seek their welfare, and that he was chosen to speak for the Lakota People to those representing the government..He never expressed guilt about having to kill Sitting Bull, but he did express regret..“Sitting Bull was my friend,” he would later say. .FWIW, Tacanke Luta was also regarded and respected by his people as a mighty warrior. It was because of his reputation as a warrior that he was recruited into the Tribal Police..It should also be noted that several Tribal Policeman were also killed in the altercation that led to the death of Sitting Bull, so it was not as though all the violence was on one side. In fact, the police were outnumbered at the beginning of the encounter. There was a US Army contingent close by, but the police, hoping to accomplish the arrest of Sitting Bull without violence, told the soldiers to hang back while they tried to take Sitting Bull into custody peacefully..Red Tomahawk will be the first of several significant Native American law enforcement figures who will be profiled during November as Team Tracy’s way of observing American Indian Heritage Month.

Egad! Snap out of it, Flintheart. Vitamin is coo-coo for Kandikane. Who can blame him? Add another beauty to the swelling ranks of compelling characters in this excellent strip. We’ve seen Flintheart fall hard before, as when he met and married Snowflake Falls. She eventually passed away from an illness (off-panel). Vitamin has remained single ever since. I like the detailed glimpse of Vitamin’s office. The movie posters, his secretary, Xena, and the vintage accoutrements. This consistent attention to detail adds depth and complexity to Tracyville. .Look to see Vitamin in love:

Thanks to cpalmeresq, VistaBill, Neil Wick, davidf42, Starman1948, Morrow, Gweedo, Ray Toler and Jonathan K. for the kind words. Very much appreciated.

The last time I heard “Egads!” used I was in college and a professor was commenting on mid-terms IN CLASS. He came to my friends name and just said, “Egads!” I don’t know if that’s even legal these days.

If Kandikane is going to make a documentary about Vitamin, won’t she be filming him during rehersals for “Arsenic and Old Lace” – alongside Gruesome, Dr. Einstein and Mel O. Dee?Really enjoying this.

@BlueRoccoHalls of FAME???? Dick Tracy is a comic. It is pretty hard to see anything good or funny about this hall of fame!

The Hall of Fame panel has been running for a few years now (usually once a month). It’s not meant to be funny. If anything, it’s educational about little historical facts that are relevant to police work.

Though Dick Tracy can occasionally feature some humorous material, it’s primarily a police action/adventure strip, not a comedy strip.
